Is it possible to save money on the financing of sanitation and under what conditions? If you change your Non-Collective Sanitation (NCS) system, you can, in some cases, benefit from some help or subsidies.
THE FINANCIAL AIDS THAT CAN BE CONSIDERED IN NCS
For the installation of a micro plant or another individual sanitation system, a private individual can (sometimes) benefit from a few aids:
- You can benefit from the reduced VAT (rate at 10% instead of 20%) for goods that are at least 2 years old. For the construction of new houses, the VAT rate remains at 20%.
- In some cases, you can get a help from the water agency. The amount of aid is different from one water agency to another and few files can benefit from it.
- In some cases, you can also benefit from local aid (community of communes, department, region, etc.).
- You can (subject to resources) benefit from the ANAH (national housing agency) for work carried out in an existing house. In return, you commit yourself to live in the dwelling for a minimum of 6 years.
In all cases, it is advisable to contact the local SPANC, which will be able to give you more precise information.
